For the sixth time in a row, the Enea Baummuseum is officially one of the most beautiful event locations in Switzerland.

We are extremely honored that our location was awarded the seal of approval “Outstanding” in the category Event Locations with 9.4 out of 10 points in the Swiss Location Awards 2024 as one of the most beautiful locations in Switzerland.

65’346 event organizers and visitors as well as an independent jury of experts helped to evaluate the nominated locations at this year’s Swiss Location Award, with the aim of awarding the most beautiful and best locations with one of the coveted awards. Numerous hotels, restaurants, congress centers and event locations from all over Switzerland were nominated.

THE SHOWROOM AND THE PARK

The exclusive premises of the reception building are classical in appearance, strongly reminiscent of the Bauhaus style, yet equipped with state-of-the-art multimedia technology and infrastructure, ideal for corporate events, cultural and art exhibitions, conferences, galas and private functions for 20 to 200 guests.

The 2,500 m2 Enea reception building is located at the very centre of the spacious overall complex, on the edge of a pond lined with dark lava stones.
The architecture is unconstrained by overbearing notions of inside or out, with glass partitions dissolving boundaries to create a sense of both airiness and intimacy. The hardwood flooring of the spacious terrace leading to the pond creates the impression of standing on a floating pontoon. It is the ideal vantage point from which to take in the vastness of the scenery and savour the stylish salon atmosphere. Everything here is in one place, a slice of paradise at the heart of a work of art.

THE ORANGERY AND THE TREE MUSEUM

Why not celebrate a wedding in the open air at the Tree Museum? A ceremony, a reception, a presentation, an event, a get-together of a special kind with (and beneath) these ancient and majestic trees? A choice of open skies, a canopy of leaves, or a roof of glass and stone. Giving free rein to the imagination. Space unconfined, an open plan of trees.

A perfect alternative to the »open spaces« is the Victorian-style Orangery, enthroned to the rear of the Tree Museum. The delightful 113 m2 glass pavilion has four entrances and a clear ceiling height of 7 m, and suspended from its centre, a chandelier as magnificent as it is huge. The structure pays architectural tribute to the grand tradition of the English landscaped garden and stands in charming contrast with the modern overall concept of the premises.

From the Orangery the views extend to the whole of the Tree Museum, framed by a distinctive elm and a genuine bald cypress. From here the main footpath leads past a delicate prunus domestica and a majestic plane tree. Next to it is the diva of flowering trees, a filigree magnolia. A common juniper and a fine Japanese pine, no less than 112 years of age, line the continuing path, at the end of which is a 100-year-old little-leaf linden, the tree of love.

The Orangery is an elegant spot to while away the hours on hot summer days; here even seemingly adverse weather conditions can suddenly open up new prospects of mood and atmosphere on the Tree Museum as an open, living gesamtkunstwerk, whether by day or by night.

THE JAPANESE TEA HOUSE

Surrounded by 100-year-old trees, the tea house creates a place of peace and strength from space and light. For moments full of elegance and lightness that teach us to appreciate the essential and see the poetry in everyday life. Like the ideals of ancient Greece for beauty and perfection in the West, the teahouse represents the philosophical ideals of the aesthetic concept of Japan.

The window fronts can be easily opened at the touch of a button via app or control device and offer barrier-free transitions from inside to outside. The reduced concept is complemented by the select furnishings that stylishly characterize the interior. The kitchen, which becomes an outdoor kitchen by opening the windows, is also unique.

The solitary pavilion presents itself as a place of tranquility and a symbol of a natural merging of nature and architecture. In combination with sophisticated technical solutions, the tea house makes your moment unforgettable.
