After his brilliant contribution in 1999, Enzo Enea returns to Giardina 20 years later as an internationally renowned landscape architect.

Enea and his team are pleased to be part of the Giardina’s anniversary edition and have the opportunity to exchange ideas at this industry leading event: “As passionate landscape architects and gardeners, we are particularly proud to be represented at the jubilee edition, where only the best of the trade meet,” says Enzo Enea. Giardina and Enea – two success stories that can simultaneously celebrate an anniversary in 2018: Giardina for its 20th anniversary and Enea GmbH for its 25th birthday.

Enzo Enea is delighted with the fairs‘ success and says: “I congratulate the creators of this nationally unique platform. It’s nice to see how Giardina has been growing over the years. When a Swiss gardening event records attendance figures similar to the Design Fair in London then we know we have created something great with our creativity, vision and dedication.”

His experiences and impressions from international projects and garden cultures around the globe will be incorporated into the design concept for Giardina 2018. For Enzo Enea, the garden is an expanded habitat. In keeping with the Credo, the garden should not be seen as a soloists, but as part of the overall composition of location, architecture and climate. It is crucial to read the architectural concepts, to understand people’s lifestyle and how they intend to use their gardens. In order to achieve the best possible result, Enea also “steers” the microclimate through carefully selected plants, positively changing the quality of the place. The focus is always on our desire to be connected to nature and the place where we reside. Equally important is the location and its surroundings – be it in Toggenburg or an open space in the Tropics. One thing can be guaranteed; the Enea project at the Giardina 2018 will be unique.

At the largest Swiss garden event “Giardina”, around 270 exhibitors from seven European countries will be showing the season’s latest trends in large show gardens. The main theme of the event for the garden and balcony will be efficient use of space on small areas and ingenious outdoor furnishings for a more comfortable living outdoors.
